CASTING CALL
Temple MFA Thesis Film — A Tuesday in Fall

A grocery delivery worker, her partner, and other lonely strangers drift through mediated routines —
podcasts, conspiracy theories, political rhetoric, and social feeds —
which slowly accumulate into a portrait of a society emotionally unraveling.


We are currently casting for the following roles:

BETO (Lead)
Male (he/him), Age: 20s–30s
A musician struggling with depression, financial stress, and a growing sense of disconnection from the world around him.

ALEX (Lead)
Male (he/him), Age: 20s–30s
An online masculinity-influencer personality, performing confidence while quietly searching for identity and belonging underneath it.

BAR REGULAR
Age: Open
Hanging out, smoking a cigarette, riffing on the new gentrified bar that's taken over their neighborhood.

WORKOUT INSTRUCTOR
Age: Open
A gym instructor who muses to a coworker about a conspiracy theory that the gym's weights are secretly lighter than labeled.

SECURITY GUARD
Age: Open
Muses to a coworker about a wonderfully silly religious conspiracy theory.

BUSINESSPERSON
Age: 30s–50s
A successful professional having an AI therapy session from inside their car, wrestling out loud with whether "fun" is allowed to be a life goal.

TRANSIENT PERSON
Age: 40s–60s
An unhoused man convinced that aliens are controlling our minds.

DOG WALKER
Male, Age: Open ("dad-bod" look)
A man walking his dog.

PRIEST
Age: 45+
An older actor to play a priest in a brief scene.

SKATEBOARDER
Age: 20s
A younger actor who can genuinely skateboard.
